Posh Bingo goes Legally Blonde

Last Thursday night, the 21st of January, was a very special night for two Posh Bingo players. JE55ICA and Queen82 had won some super gifts as part of an exclusive bingo promotion that would make their night, truly a night to remember!

JE55ICA and Queen82 were the two lucky players to have been selected as winners of a one off Posh Bingo promotion and were going to see the West End blockbuster Legally Blonde with their guests. JE55ICA is an especially lucky lady who has won other fab prizes at Posh Bingo in the past including a designer purse and Highstreet vouchers worth £1,200. As you can imagine, everyone was in high spirits as they braved the cold and made their way to the very posh Savoy Theatre. There were a couple of pit stops though...

The group, accompanied by Leanne from Posh Bingo met up at the Coal Hole which is a landmark pub in Strand. It is very near to Charing Cross, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden and is probably the most famous pub in the area. Glamour was the name of the game that evening with everyone done up to the nines – Elle Woods would have nodded her approval.

After a couple of drinks at the Coal Hole the Posh Bingo group meandered down to the ultra stylish Garfunkels Wine Bar for a quick bite and some celebratory champagne. While chatting about the show they were going to watch, the conversation naturally turned to something else everyone had in common - Posh Bingo. Both JE55ICA and Queen82 are great fans of the popular bingo site, and who wouldn’t be with the kind of gift the two lucky women had won! 

It was time to head down to the Savoy Theatre, Elle and her friends was waiting to enchant them with the musical version of the popular Hollywood hit Legally Blonde, the romantic comedy that was so popular it spawned a successful sequel as well as a spin off. Before being seated at their special VIP seating (which was so VIP that they were just a few metres away from the stage), the Posh Bingo group collected their Legally Blonde Goodie Bags which were, naturally, pink!

The performance was everything that the bingo players hoped for and more. Two Pints of Lager & A Packet of Crisps star Sheridan Smith played Elle Woods, the character who was brought to life in the film by Reese Witherspoon. The role of Warner, the man Elle follows to Harvard University in the hopes of regaining his love was is played by the Duncan James from Blue while West End regular Alex Gaumond plays Emmet, the man Elle loses her heart to. And those wondering about the Paulette, who secretly pines for the UPS man and wins him with her ‘snap and bend’ moves – the role is played to perfection by Strictly Come Dancing star, Jill Halfpenny.

Needless to say, everyone enjoyed the show and the Posh Bingo crowd were rather sad to see the evening come to an end. Said Queen82 about her Posh Bingo experience, “TY u so much for a lovely and memorable evening me and my friend will talk about it 4 ages!”
