Wink bingo donates to hospital

Online bingo has paid out twice recently, to a hospital in Oxford. Recently, a winner at Wink Bingo had spent some of her bingo jackpot win to purchase life-saving equipment for the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. When the online bingo site heard of her act of charity they decided to match her donation to the hospital.
Myra Carbin had participated in a bingo promotion last year at the Wink Bingo site and scooped up a massive £25,000 bingo jackpot. She used some of her winnings to purchase a brand new infusion pump for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. Years ago, the John Radcliffe Hospital saved her four week old daughter’s life by performing an emergency heart bypass surgery and Myra had vowed that one day she would repay that debt. Myra’s win at Wink Bingo allowed her to keep her promise.
“It was such a surprise to win,” said Myra. “The fact that it was so unexpected persuaded my husband and I that we should do enjoy it and do good things with it too.”
When Wink Bingo heard about her selfless act, they decided to pitch in and matched her donation at the John Radcliffe Hospital. They took Myra and her daughter back to the hospital to present the cheque.

Penny Hambridge, the Children's Development Officer at John Radcliffe Hospital said that the donations from both Myra and Wink Bingo will enable the hospital to buy equipment beyond what the NHS alone can fund.
