Wink Bingo lovematch set for Saturday

Top UK bingo site Wink Bingo is busy preparing for D-Day when Mr. and Miss Wink finally meet and who knows what happens then? A quick update for those that haven’t been following the story that everyone is talking about. 

In the month of February, Wink Bingo decided to do their bit for Valentine’s Day by hosting an innovative promotion called Wink Makes Love with the aim to finding their very own Mr. and Miss Wink. 

The widely promoted event started with the search for Miss Wink. The only criteria was that the contestant had to be single and looking to meet Mr. Right. Contestants had to submit a photograph and a write-up about themselves. Many bingo players submitted entries eager to be the one to win the title.

After a week of receiving entries, the voting process was started at the bingo site. The pictures and the mini-bios of the contestants were up at the site. Bingo players started voting for their favourite contenders and were allowed one vote for the day. The total list of those that made it to the Wink voting site was 31.

20 year old Abbie, who is from Shoeburyness Essex, had nominated herself and then determinedly went about drumming up support for herself on the Wink Facebook page. Her campaigning efforts paid off and it was a very happy day for Abbie Turner-Bevan when she won the title of Miss Wink. Abbie or abbie2006 had been in close competition with hunnielegs, but eventually won with a majority of 13 votes, winning 243 to her closest rival’s 230 votes. 

Abbie describes herself as a fun loving person who has tons of energy and this plucky girl aims to live every day of her life as though it were her last. She works in a care home and hopes to move to a hospital where she can get a degree in midwifery. Abbie likes reading, socialising with friends and astronomy and travelling to new places all over the world. 

Now that Miss Wink had been anointed, it was time to look for her Mr. Wink and once again bingo players started sending in nominations. After a long week of voting, Mr. Wink was finally found. 

22 year old James Cancea or leedsboi as he is known in the Wink Bingo chat room won the coveted title. James, who is from Harrow, Middlesex had entered the competition at the behest of his friends and decided to do so for a laugh. 

In his own words, “I am a great fun loving bloke up for anything but also got a caring, sensitive side to me. I like learning to play the guitar, football, going out for top class meals, love catching a movie. I am looking for someone who is well up for having a good time and a laugh and who doesn't take life too seriously.” Well said, James!

And now it is time for the all-important first date. The quietly scheming online bingo site has planned a romantic evening for the two this coming Saturday, 13th March which will start at the Revolution Bar in Soho followed by dinner at Eagle Bar and Diner, which has a reputation for its fine cocktails. The folks at Wink Bingo took a while deciding where the two love birds would go, but we definitely approve, and can't wait to know if this will spark a true romance. Watch this space to find out what happens next!
